To create a new Custom Catalog, start by navigating to the Catalog tab within the Store. Once on the Catalog page, select the Custom Catalogs tab on the page.
If this is your first Custom Catalog, select Create First Catalog to get started.
Otherwise, select the Create Catalog button in the upper right corner of the page to create additional catalogs.
Now that you have created a new Custom Catalog, it’s time to add products! There are two different methods for adding products to your Custom Catalog:
- Via Browse Products
- Via Bulk Import
Adding Products via Browse Products
Select the catalog you want to add products to.
If this is the first time you are adding products to this catalog you will be prompted with the choice to browse products or import products. Select Browse Products.
If you are adding additional products to a Custom Catalog, select Add Products from the Catalog Actions dropdown on the left side of the page.
Next, you can browse CureMint’s product library (150,000+ products and growing) to find what you are looking for. Use the search and filter functions on the left side of the page to narrow the results.
After you have made your selections, select Add to add products to your custom catalog.
Adding Products via Import
If this is the first time you are adding products to this catalog you will be prompted with the choice to browse products or import products. Select Import Products.
If you are adding additional products to a Custom Catalog, select Add Products from the Catalog Actions dropdown on the left side of the page.
Step 1: Formatting the import file (csv)
Download the CSV template on the Import Products page.
Once the template is finished downloading, open the file to begin adding product information and formatting to prepare for import.
You will need to include the following information (indicated by each column header):
- Product SKU - required
- Vendor name - required (be sure to find the vendor name from the dropdown list and Copy Text, so the format matches what we have in our product library
- Price - optional (the price you pay for the product)
- Unit of Measure - optional
This information is also listed on the Import Page for you to reference each time you import.
Below is an example of what your import sheet should look like prior to importing:
Once you are done adding and formatting the information, save your file to your computer.
Step 2: Importing your CSV File
Once you have finished adding information and formatting your CSV file, you are ready for import!
You can import this information using any of the following methods:
- Drag-and-drop the file into the dropzone (gray area of the page)
- Click anywhere in the dropzone to open a file browser to select the correct file
- Copy (cntl+c) the information from the CSV file and paste (cntl+v) into the dropzone
Once you have added the information using any of the methods outlined above, select Import Products to Catalog and away you go!
After the import is done, you will see an indicator on the page that lets you know that everything went smoothly!
If anything didn’t go as planned, you will also be able to view that information on this page. Additionally, you will be able to download a CSV of failures which will provide a list of lines that failed to import with an explanation of why.
To fix the errors, you can simply make the required adjustments in each line, remove each error message from the file, re-save, and re-upload your list.
Voila! You are now a master of adding products to your Custom Catalogs.
